Liner Notes

Live 1980 was recorded during the Danger Zone tour and contains mostly tracks from that album and Street Machine. It was released by Capitol Records after Sammy's success during his Geffen releases (Standing Hampton and Three Lock Box).

The 1996 One Way Records re-release includes a bonus live track, "Someone Out There", which has not been released elsewhere.

The best of Sammy Hagar live is in this album, pity that the sound quality of this record has not been the best and compatible with the sound that Sammy Hagar can extract when he sings live.
If it were these days with existing technology it would be so much better, but Hagar is Hagar and this album is essential to any fan's basic disco. It is still a great album too.
