Sammy Hagar gives Classic Rock Magazine details on the new Chickenfoot album titled 1V.
Songs include Big Foot a Rock Candy type thing: "I got my hands on the wheel and my Big Foot on the gas!" Other tracks include Come Closer (very soulful, almost R&B), I Ain't Got You (about having so much money that you can gave everything, but I can't have you) and Hagar's fav The Last Temptation: "it's about a guy in a strip bar, he's trying to change but he's sitting in this strip joint going: Oh,man..."

Note to Sammy

Sammy,a huge fan. Child of the 70's, not a big blogger. A big fan of Montrose in the day. Just wanted to say, I'm reading Red and find it very inspirational. Always way preferred Van Halen with you over the original. Saw you in Texas in the day and was @ Cabo Wabo for the 60th, also 1st Chickenfoot tour. Can't wait for the new one. Not sure what you're into, but so far the 2 best albumns of the year so far, are; "Dust Bowl" by Joe Bonnamassa and "Man in Motion" by Warren Haynes. They both remind me of you, true sled-dog troubadors who live to make great music.

Sammy VIP

I've seen Sammy over about 20 times with Van Halen and about 20 times solo and he always walked through the on stage fans. The one show I buy VIP for "Sammy's Cinco De Mayo show in 2009" and Sammy never walked through the crowd on stage. Although it was a unique experience, Not worth the $400 we spent for tickets, gas, drive from Tucson to San Diego, and hotel. I thought I was finally going to fulfill my dream of meeting him, but was denied. I also had a meet in greet in Tucson about 10 years ago, but that was cancelled as well.
