Mexican Meltdown Tour

Sammy, Sammy, Sammy!!!!!!!! It's been 8 months since we saw him last, and this man always finds a way to top what he last did! We were lucky enough to see part of the sound check, we went upto the Amphitheater and watched them do a couple of songs. Sammy was so ready for this show! We cheered him on from the fence, and he could hear us screaming, and he yelled, "I'm just as ready for this as you guys are." And, boy was he!!!!!! He played for nearly 2 1/2 hours, and ROCKED KONOCTI like never before!!!!! He played songs that I haven't heard him do in a long time, like The Love, and Sympathy for Human. There were so many others, but I just can't remember them all right now. He was so full of energy and it was obvious that the band was having a great time. He mentioned that Mona had rode her Harley to the show.........and several of us that were hanging out in Pete's room that afternoon got to see her and her AWESOME bike! She came over to Pete's room and hung out with us for a little bit. Mona ROCKS

The whole night was such a blur of partying with my REDhead buds, and rockin' out to Sammy! MrCaboWabo was so much fun last night.......we danced, we sang, he picked me up and I was screaming, and we just had the best time together last night. Thank you Jim, for helping to make my night more special than it already was........You are one hell of a wonderful human being!!! In the front row: MrCaboWabo, Me, Mike, Sanja, Rosy's daughter, and right behind us: Pete, Deanna, My Mom, Scott, Phyllis..........I am so sorry if I am forgetting others.........On Stage: Tazzy, Katherine, Krissi, Debylee, Jenn, Lisa & Eric, Dawn and many others!! The Drooler girls were rockin' the stage and have the BEST time ever! I was so happy to see first timers up there like Jenn, and the Texas Girls........That made my heart sing!!!!! I took lots of pictures of everyone on stage, so when I get them developed, I'll be sure to send them to you all!! How does Sammy do it? How does he find a way each and every time to make m I know there are things I am leaving out, like what Sammy was wearing.......some really cool shorts with a hula girl on the back, and a yellow shirt..........and MrCaboWabo's wig that Vic wore for quite a few songs.........I got some pictures of that!! And, Sammy talked about MrCaboWabo.........I'll let Jim tell about all that! Needless to say, the show rocked, Sammy rocked, the band rocked and I can't wait to do it all over again tonight!!!!!!!!!! Sammy and the Waboritas.......Thank you for an amazing show, and thank you for being YOU and bringing so much love and happiness into my heart! I LOVE YOU GUYS!!!!!!!!

Thanks to Diane Griffin for the review!

My sister and I were on stage for this show thanks to and with two new friends - Patty and Sharona. I had already purchased a plane ticket to fly my sister in from San Antonio and a week before the concert our other sister Micki passed away in her sleep. We had her funeral in the morning, and then drove to Konocti and rocked with Sammy on the stage that night. My sister Micki was a huge Sammy fan and I know she would have insisted we go and I am sure she was there with us.....but needless to say it was both the worst and the best day of my life.

Thank you Sammy and the Wabos.....It may sound strange to some, but being there with our favorite rocker of all time - surrounded by happy people, loving the music, was very comforting and gave us a break from our grief.
