Sammy Hagar and the Waboritas put on a spectacular performance for Seattle fans packed into the Paramount Theater sunday night.ÃƒÆ’Ã¢â‚¬Å¡Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â From the minute they stepped on stage,ÃƒÆ’Ã¢â‚¬Å¡Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â Sammy and the Waboritas were very interactive with the fans...Sammy often stopped mid-song to sign various souveniers that fans had brought (including my "Marching to Mars" cd- thanks Sammy!).ÃƒÆ’Ã¢â‚¬Å¡Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â Cabo Wabo tequila was in abundance as usual and after a brief toast Vic launched into "Cabo Wabo" and never looked back.
Sammy's voice was amazing all evening but was particularly impressive during "Dreams" and "Top of the World."ÃƒÆ’Ã¢â‚¬Å¡Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â The setlist was pretty much standard...Sammy even made a few people on the balcony really happy when he honored their request for him to play "Give to Live."ÃƒÆ’Ã¢â‚¬Å¡Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â He mentioned that it is easy to ignore special requests when they are shouted at him but when fans go to the trouble of making a sign,ÃƒÆ’Ã¢â‚¬Å¡Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â he couldnt refuse. Everybody really got into "Mas Tequila" and "Why Cant This Be Love?,"ÃƒÆ’Ã¢â‚¬Å¡Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â and we were treated to a powerful performance of "Little White Lie." Mona was absolutely amazing all evening,ÃƒÆ’Ã¢â‚¬Å¡Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â she really held down the low end grooves and was all smiles the whole time.
ÃƒÆ’Ã¢â‚¬Å¡Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â ÃƒÆ’Ã¢â‚¬Å¡Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â All in all,ÃƒÆ’Ã¢â‚¬Å¡Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â it was an amazing evening in a great venue and we hope to see Sammy back in Seattle soon.ÃƒÆ’Ã¢â‚¬Å¡Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â Thanks to Dave, Jesse, Mona, Vic, and Sammy for a great time.ÃƒÆ’Ã¢â‚¬Å¡Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â And to the fans: remember to respect each other and have a great time!
