Acoustic 4 A Cure Last Night

Last night at The Fillmore was an enlightening experience for me on so many levels. First of all, I think I’m finally understanding myself and what this event is all about. Every year I have been winging it, flying by the seat of my pants, fingers crossed and wiping the sweat from my brow at the end of each show.
The fifth time was the charm for me. I discovered the magic is finding the right group of people and just letting it happen. That is what happened last night. Everyone brought something to the show, everyone participated in the complete event, whole-heartedly, and it was a friggin blast for all of us. I had no idea what was going to happen until it was happening. A bit scary but the vibe between the artists at rehearsal and backstage was magic in itself.
So it was kind of like “trust in the force Luke” ha. Bob Weir, Kevin Cronin, Joe Satriani, Vic Johnson, Michael Anthony, Don Was, Jay and Chad Smith on drums, Taj Mahal, Eddie Money and family, ME.. eeeek. you wouldn’t think these people were from the same planet but the show ran so smooth and in my opinion was the best one yet!
I can’t thank the fans enough for supporting this wonderful cause and event every year. I promise to keep it interesting. Nothing but love and gratitude.
