Sammy joins Kenny Chesney at Levi’s Stadium

Sammy Hagar BLOG

The Chicago Cubs joined us before the concert, I guess these guys were in town playing the Oakland A's and they came by the show since they are big Sammy fans. I don't know any of their names, but I guess it's the main guys.

Kenny sold out 50,000 & then brought me out for "I can't drive 55". I couldn't believe hearing 50,000 people scream 55 at the top of their lungs!! Certainly one of the highlights of my year musically so far!! Always love hanging and playing with Kenny. Miranda Lambert was great as well, 2 of Samantha's favorites. Samantha is turning into a country girl ha ha too cute.

Check out this other video from a fan with the whole song:

Here's what Kenny's Team had to say:

"HOW DO YOU TOP PINK FLOYD? GO RED

When you’re Kenny Chesney — and your last trip into Santa Clara, CA’s Levi’s Stadium broke Pink Floyd’s 20 year old attendance record – there’s only one thing to do: call your friend the Red Rocker! Sammy Hagar, whose pool was the site for writing “Beer in Mexico,” surprised Chesney onstage Saturday August 6, for a rousing “I Can’t Drive 55” during his Bay Area stop of the Spread the Love Tour.

47, 862 fans rocked out with Chesney, Miranda Lambert, Sam Hunt and Old Dominion, even with the iconic Outside Lands Festival going on in Golden Gate Park. With Chesney taking the tour to Detroit’s Ford Field this weekend, the Spread the Love 2016 Tour is heading into its last few weekends, yet the momentum just keeps building."

After all of the fun in Santa Clara, Sammy heads to his Maui home to re-coup and get some sun. Check out this video he sent to Kenny the morning after the concert. Sammy gives us a fresh performance of "Eagles Fly" to go with your morning coffee (and homegrown bananas)!
