Happy Holidays and a little something special!

Sammy Hagar BLOG

Ho Ho Ho Redheads! Holiday Season Is Here!

I hope all Redheads have good family, food and music planned through New Years – I know I do! The last few weeks has been crazy with getting to be on The Simpsons, getting an amazing new dish into the restaurants through TNT's "On The Menu" with my buddy Emeril, and all of the Lite Roast mini-doc videos.

As I'm sure you know Sammy's Beach Bar Rum continues to grow (thanks to you!) and is now available in most states — this is the best Rum on the planet and I love drinkin' it straight up on the rocks and you've gotta check out the Holiday recipe below, it's outtasite!

I can't wait for you to hear the new acoustic version of "Personal Jesus" that Vic and I made just the other day in time to get to you for the holidays. At the end of the month I'll be heading to Cabo for a FREE show (Cabo style!) and also check in on the great work going on as they rebuild. Kari, the kids and I wish you all a happy holiday season.

Sammy's Beach Bar Rum Holiday Drink

No holiday party is complete without a great holiday cocktail! Now that Sammy's new Redhead Rum is available in most states, most all Redheads can enjoy this cozy winter drink. If you haven’t tried it – look out! – delicious (put it in the freezer then when it is ice cold take a shot – wow!!). Or you could try it in the drink below – perfect for the holidays.

SAMMY’S RED & WHITE CHRISTMAS

  • 1 ½ oz – Sammy’s Beach Bar Rum
  • ½ oz – Sammy’s Red Head Rum
  • ½ oz – Simple syrup
  • 2 dashes apple bitters
  • Whipped Cream or Half/Half

Pour all ingredients in a shaker, fill ½ way with whipped cream, shake with ice, serve up in a martini glass. Sprinkle cinnamon on top. Note – the drink will have a little more red tint than the picture here.

If you can’t find it in your local retailer or bar ask the buyer to bring it in for you and they can usually have it in a day or two – or send us a post card from the sammysbeachbarrum.com web site and we will help you locate the rum.

Happy Holidays from the Red Rocker!
