NuvoTV & Fuse Special – Stand Up and Deliver: Cabo Relief
Last month, Mexico's gorgeous Cabo San Lucas was devastated by Hurricane Odile, leaving many homeless, without electricity and in desperate need of assistance. Like the bash, the annual Cabo-based "Stand-Up and Deliver" show was affected by the hurricane. They turned it into a benefit and Sammy was happy to participate along with his other efforts to support Cabo's recovery. The show filmed an initimate acoustic performance at the Island in Roseville by Sammy & Vic of tunes from the new release, "Lite Roast", some of which will be included in the TV special.
This one-hour music and comedy special will air Saturday, October 25 at 7pm PT on NuvoTV and at 10/9 CT on Fuse.
Additional information about "Stand-Up and Deliver: Cabo Relief" is below.
For our mission, we've recruited Rob Schneider (Deuce Bigalow, Hot Chick, 50 First Dates) Aisha Tyler (Whose Line Is It Anyway? host), Billy Gardell (Mike & Molly), Pablo Francisco (They Put It Out There) and Alonzo Bodden (NBC's Last Comic Standing) to serve the laughs.
Meanwhile, as a Cabo resident himself, Sammy Hagar will perform songs off his newly-released acoustic album "Lite Roast", which is currently available on iTunes.
In the aftermath of Hurricane Odile, thousands still need our help, particularly those in smaller, rural communities. All proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to the International Community Foundation, which is currently supporting the relief effort. If you'd like to make a contribution yourself, you can donate here.
Tune in on Saturday to catch the special on NuvoTV or Fuse! It's going to be full of laughs and some great music.
