LOPen Charity Events and the Mawaka Foundation are both pleased to announce Sammy Hagar will headline this year’s “Rockin’ FORE the Kids” concert. Special guests Jim Peterik and the Ides of March will join Hagar during the event supporting The Akron Children’s Hospital Showers Family Center for Childhood Cancer and Blood Disorders.

“This is the sixteenth year for our event, and we could not be any more thrilled to have the talented singer and guitarist Sammy Hagar headline this concert.” said Phil Lopez, co-founder of LOPen Charities. “All of our efforts would not be possible without the help of the Scott & Julie Mawaka Charitable Foundation, which allows us to host this concert and golf outing.”

As part of Sammy's ongoing support of local food banks and his desire to make a direct impact locally in each community he visits, Sammy has chosen to donate money towards Akron-Canton Regional Food Bank and have a special meet & greet with some representatives of the organization to say thank you!
