I starting to love these kind of events where I get to talk directly to the fans and let them know who I really am as a person when I don't have to entertain them which I love to do but at this stage in my life I want the long time fans to know the other side of me.
In the sketch fest event was a perfect opportunity I enjoyed it even though my back was out. Ouch!!!! I guess I had too much fun in Cabo. Ha Ha
Toby Keith & wife Trish hosted a surprise birthday party for Kari tonight in Cabo -- this was the beginning of the night, you don't want to see the pics from the end haha trust me.
Happy Birthday Kari! Thank you Toby & Trish!
P.S. Jorge killed it with the food as always!
We didn't make it to Cabo in time for New Year's this year got stuck in Maui - ha ha! Stayed for a fundraiser with Alice Cooper, his bass player Chuck Garric, Michael McDonald, Pat Simmons (Doobie Brothers), Hawaii's Willie K, Bob Rock and Dave Murray (Iron Maiden)!!! Quite the little jam for a few hundred special folks.
The cantinas were also all rocking! I can't believe the pictures from Vegas look like Woodstock revisited.
Hung out with Kris Kristofferson, Mick Fleetwood, Willie Nelson, and Shep Gordon at his house last night. We had ourselves a little barbecue with some rum, weed, and wine. What a party it was- haha!
Mick and I were blown away by Kris and Willie sitting there talking all night about their tour of plans for next year. Mick and I were sitting there feeling like a couple lazy bums, I want to be just like them when I grow up ha ha!!
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all you Redheads
Life is good thanks to you!
Emeril's Annual Carnival Du Vin raised over $3 million last night. Our package went for 85K & at the last minute Jonathan Cain from Journey came onboard to add to the musician lineup.
Food was outstanding, the cocktails and wine were outstanding, and Jose Andres, the person to Kari's left when she has the hat on is a riot and he's one of my favorite chefs in the world.
Emeril was on fire with Chris Wilson and the staff from all the chefs' restaurants, it was amazing!! Hard to leave and come home, I love the big easy.
Damn I knew them redheads could rock, but I didn't know they could cook! YUM YUM - it all looks delicious! - Sammy
Congrats to the winners for the book recipe contest! We are pleased will all of the folks who sent us their recipes - they were all great! Signed copies of the book will take around 4-6 weeks to ship depending on your location. Thanks for rocking the book recipes! We love the support!
Cheers, Redrocker Webmaster
The Circle played at the Texas Motor Speedway Sunday. The police escort we had to get us in and out of that crazy ass traffic of course wanted a picture with Mikey and I because the police love us ha ha Ha ha ha. They can't drive 55 either.
We went on at 11am, ouch it was early, but an amazing race with my buddy Jimmie Johnson winning (I visited him right before the show - good luck charm baby)! Plus, The Circle kicked ass for a 75 minute show. Lots of Texas fans/redheads, more than I expected, almost like a Texas jam!
Last night was off the hook fun energy at Bimbo's in SF for the Chef's Classic fundraiser for the James Beard Foundation.
George Lopez was there, along with Tre from Green Day playing drums, the other guy's name is Matt Nathanson, a singer/songwriter who is good friends with Train & they took him on tour from the bay area. I sang "Fall In Love Again" and "Bad Motor Scooter" - it was awesome playing my own songs and a lot of fun playing Train's songs with them.
Making this record was such a great experience! It was my first time in the studio with a great producer like Ted Templeman, Ronnie Montrose, Bill Church, and Denny Carmassi - the chemistry was second to none! I remember singing Bad Motor Scooter after I went to the dentist to have two wisdom teeth pulled, I was knocked out, had the teeth pulled then went straight back to the studio and sang it with bloody gums in the back of my mouth -- wow I was driven!
