I was very sad to hear the news last week that Queen Redhead Cabo Kim lost her fight with cancer. A couple months back at the 'Foot show in St. Louis we got to spend a little time time hanging out before the show - and even in a wheel chair her spirits were still high and she was ready to rock. My heart goes out to her family and friends - she has ruled the Redheads for so long and we will all miss her.

Hey there Redheads. Happy Holidays From Sammy! What a wild few months, hopefully you had a chance to hear the new Christmas song my buddy Toby Keith and I put out this year "Santa's going South for Christmas" We had a blast doing it and are excited hearing all the positive reactions. What an amazing opening 2 nights to the Foot's Road Test shows in SF and LA! I was so pumped to kick off the Road Test Tour in my home town and the crowd did not disappoint! The energy in the room was overflowing and Joe even blew up his amp! Keep those pictures and videos coming - I love to see how the shows look on your end and all of you guys partying it up! I lost one of my old bandmates, Chuck Ruff today. Chuck was my drummer on Danger Zone and Street Machine and many many live tours together. I have only memories of great times and great music with Chuck.
My condolences to his family, friends and loved ones.

Tuesday night at the Cantina was another Cabo Wabo Birthday Bash jam for the history books! For those of you who missed the live stream, here’s the recap - we started out in high gear with a Los Tres Gusanos reunion and then moved into a Wabos set joined by Vinnie Paul, who killed some Van Hagar, followed by Brad Wilk, of Rage Against The Machine, who helped out on the Beastie Boys "Fight for the Right" with Guy Fieri on vocals. We ended the night on a high note with "The Assassin" Kenny Aronoff and a Zeppelin double shot!!!

OK Redheads, was that awesome or what? I am so excited to have shared all the new foot music with you worldwide and live!!! Last nights web cast was such a new experience for me and the whole band……we have never done something like this before and I had no idea how it would turn out, but the best way to share this music that I am so proud of is the way it was written….live and in the round……And now, like we can take a break…..we are going to Cabo and then a foot road test in November.

Hey Redheads-
Less than a week left until Chickenfoot III is released! I'm so excited to share this album with you in its entirety. Is it just me or is this taking forever! I've been getting lots of great feedback about the song-by-song podcasts and "The Making of Chickenfoot III" series we've been sending out and already have had people come up to me on the street and tell me how much they are enjoying them. Even my pal from the Dead, Mickey Hart, has a favorite song already! We have such a cool creative dynamic in the band and I'm glad that each song's story is able to be told.

Hey Redheads I've been seeing some posts from many of you about my set being cut short at one of my Detroit shows with Kid. I was super bummed, but with the recent events at other shows - we decided to be safe rather than sorry. I always put the safety of my fans first. When things cleared, I decided to allow Kid to run his whole show for the fans. People were going to be disappointed either way and it just felt like the right thing to do. On a positive note, did you see the fan video of me and Kid and our rocking version of American Band!?

Hey Sammy here,
It's been a litte while and I just wanted to check in with you all. As usual I've been going full speed. Lots going on with the Foot in preparation for our upcoming album drop and this past weekend we shot a music video for "Big Foot" - it's going to be awesome and I can't wait until you see it. I know you'll love it! Man Chickenfoot III is so slamming-- I wish we could release it today and already be out on the road playing it for you!
