Alright Sammy and all my Redhead friends...Sammy's lucky Terrible Towel just won my Pittsburgh Steelers the AFC Championship!!! And I just know we are going to bring home that unprecedented SEVENTH Superbowl victory in two weeks!! I hope Sammy and everyone else will be watching. Pittsburgh loves you!!!♥
I knew when I gave you my own personal, two time Super Bowl winning Pittsburgh Steelers Terrible Towel back in September when I saw you in Indio it would be magic!! We are on our way to Super Bowl Number 7!!
Well friends, I have not been around to say hello in a while, figured I was due. With 2010 coming to a close here very soon, I just wanted to come give a final thank you and love ya to Sammy, the whole RR.com crew, The Wabos, Chickenfoot...and anyone I am forgetting!! This has been one amazing year for me and it's not over yet. 2011 is going to prove to hold big things for me, and without getting into too much detail, I can say I owe a whole lot of that to Sammy and all my super AWESOME RedHead friends. It's all coming together, and I can't wait.
How are all my favorite RedHeads doing so far this winter? It's snowing here and I can't stand it. Hope you all are doing well and for anyone I don't get to talk to on the near future here or on Facebook, have a great Christmas and a rockin' New Year!!
Can anyone tell me, or tell me where I may be able to find out, how many of Sammy's albums (VH included) were released on vinyl? As you can see I am still trying to add to my collection, and I am still in need of stuff on both ends of the line, early and more recent. Just curious if anyone knew how may albums of his were actually put out on vinyl. I know Chickenfoot put their first album out on vinyl in addition to CD and digital most likely just to be "kitschy", which don't get me wrong, I think is AWESOME, and I hope they do it again for the second album.
I would be remiss if I did not come here and thank those of you who have enjoyed the Facebook page dedicated to the poor, defunct Blue Bottle Cabo Wabo Reposado Tequila. My friend Ron was kind enough to grant me admin privileges over there so I can help with all the fun, and it's been a blast these past few weeks bringing smiles to the faces of so many with our pictures, and Sammy themed videos and links. Well, last night our little site reached a milestone that we had hoped to achieve by the one year anniversary of the page on 12/21/2010....we now have 500+ followers!!!
I felt I needed to take a few minutes to come thank some people. Let me start off by saying, I usually come blog about Sammy, Chickenfoot, VH, the music, all the typical stuff. But this time I need to recognize those of you who really have become like a little family to me, all my Red Head friends.
So I was cruising Google images this morning at work for a new Sammy wallpaper pic for my computer, and found this little gem. After the obvious....the guitar caught my eye. It seems much flashier than something Sammy usually plays, I'd sooner expect him to WEAR something that looked like that!!! Hee hee, sorry Sam, you know I love ya.♥ Anyhow, do any of my hard core RedHeads out here know anything about this axe? Is it his? Did he play it often? Artist info?
Wow. Just picked up this album. Scored a nice used copy at the mall for eight bucks!! I am about 98% complete on my pre-recorded Sammy music collection, and am now moving onto the live stuff. THIS....is ridiculous awesome, for anyone who doesn't already know. I was listening to the disc 1 tracks on my MP3 at work this morning, holy crap. It was all I could do to stay in my chair, talk about energy. "Jugdement Day"....holy shit, Sammy's voice could wake the damn dead. I am rockin' out to disc 2 as we speak.
I like things that make me smile. ☺ I just got done watching the boys here play "Down the Drain" off of "Get Your Buzz On Live!" once again, and I forgot how much fun it is to watch these 4 guys jam together. It never ceases to amaze me how when people get together to do something that they not only love, but at which they are extremely talented, they just project that energy on to anyone who is watching. It doesn't matter if you were actually there, or watching it on a DVD some time later, it's infectious just the same.
