It's Official!

February 20, 2003

What better way to celebrate the Grand Opening than the first annual CINCO DE CABO BLOWOUT to take place Friday, April 30 - Sunday May 1st.  This weekend-long celebration will include great music, delicious food, skiing, snowboarding and more.

In true Sammy fashion, he will be celebrating his favorite holiday (besides his birthday) with a three-night rock’n’roll, tequila-soaked bash. Sammy and The Waboritas (Vic Johnson, David Lauser and Mona) will be partying in the brand new Cabo Wabo Nightclub at Harrah’s on Friday April 30, Saturday, May 1st and Sunday, May 2, with surprise appearances by special friends.

Wait. There’s more. The Cantina will be offering up custom-made “Taho Wabo” apparel, Cabo Wabo (Taho Wabo) commemorative collectible chips and a few more goodies exclusive to the Tahoe location.

As if this isn't enough, in the spirit of CINCO DE CABO BLOWOUT, the whole town is getting in on the action and giving special promotions; all you need to say is "Cabo Wabo."

Heavenly will be celebrating the event by keeping their ski resort running through May 2 – the latest they have EVER kept the slopes open.  And for Sammy fans, there will be discounted admission along with special Sammy snowboards and ski equipment.
