Right ON!! Finally a process that makes sense. I spent 27 hours in line for your 60th birthday bash= I actually got to see you twice Sammy! Just saw you with Aerosmith! ROCK ON!! For all the complainers= we should just be happy with a process that actually may work better than the sleeping on the streets waiting, hoping for a ticket. :)

Can't wait for Monday, see you in cabo

lisab068's picture

Where did you hear that the ADLN got the money from those tickets?? That's not what I heard from a good source for this information. News to me. Wouldn't that be wonderful.

ktanton's picture

I know I am a"rookie" but I am not disappointed at all...hoping I get to score some tickets..if not I guess my happy ass will be in a freakin line...oh well..it really doesn't matter...its vacation with Sammy...who cares...Cabo here I come..cant wait to meet all you crazy freakin Redheads!!!

:o))

I sent this question to the RR Sales Team:
If we buy tickets for the shows on Monday then get to Cabo and are lucky enough to get dinner tickets, will the $55 we paid for the show ticket go towards the dinner ticket price -because we would not need the show ticket if we get a dinner ticket--and we won't know if we get dinner tickets until we are there and sleep on the sidewalk for days ?? We would have to get tickets Monday just in case we don't get lucky enough to get the dinner tickets? Just trying to cover all bases with out spending unnecessary money on tickets I possibly won't use. Let us all know please
RR Sales Team's reply:
No, the dinner tickets are separate from the web site tickets.....

So I guess if you want to be sure you get tickets you have to possibly pay for them twice - not very Sammy like - I'm really disappointed :(

will be FDIC beginning 10/6... Party on my Redhead friends...

Ha, I Know I sound Like A winer, but just being real! Too bad it's not like it was back in 94 when you could just walk up a hour before the show, buy your tix, and walk right in! Those days are gone! Peace Brother, and look foreward too seeing you way down south!!!!

Iowa-Doug's picture

Craig, all of 44??? wow, how do you do it... haha, I'm 51 and will totally miss doin the linetime... I'll survive even if i'm NOT in a 4 or 5 star hotel, good ol Mar de Cortez works for us and our REDHEAD friends..

craigt085's picture

Coming down to Cabo for our "13th" time and have seen Sammy every one of those years, at least two shows a trip. I've paid my dues in line, whether it was all day in the scorching heat or all night in line, and yes, me and my RedHead friends made a fun time out of it! That being said, leaving my 4 or 5 Star resort and going down to the sidewalk was not great. Just being real! Sammy was looking out for us with free Tix and I thank him for that more than you know but the Idea of not having too do that is great, doesn't mean I'm less of REDHEAD then anyone else! Just means I'm 44 and like my BED!!!!!(With my wife, who has never seen the line,HA!!!) Anyways, coming down on the 7th thru the 21st and can't wait too see all my RedHead Friends and party with Sammy! Seattle RedHeads Out!!!! Peace!!!!

That's right Darlene!!! Not sure if or when I will make it back, but I can't wait to see familiar faces and have a great 'Red' of a time. For those of us who don't get tickets...we can have a sidewalk party!

RACER-X's picture

In or out...No complaints here!
I'll be in Cabo on Sammy's Birthday. I'll be the one with the "Ear to ear"grin. Look for me, I should be easy to spot!!
I look forward to a great time in my favorite town in the world.

Thanks Sammy.... For everything!

Party in the parking lot!

"I'M COMING"
Well, to the city of Cabo, anyway, because my group of five has already booked flights and rooms at the Mar De Cortez (to be close to the line and shows!). With the new system, that means that THREE of our five will have to be able to get tickets online or someone is left out. Is it possible to coordinate three people on different coasts getting a ticket for the same show while online? SUCKS! A LITTLE BITTER HERE IN DC!

Ive been a long time Hagar fan since he was with Montrose and the gang I have also been to Cabo and waited all night in line to get a ticket for one of his birthday shows. What happend to Low Dough Sammy? He used to never believe in charging dedicated fans an ungodly amount of money to come to see his shows. Van Halen did it with the reunion tour a few years back and I refused to go and see them. I live in the Michigan area and they are coming to town in late August and tickets for that start at $60+. Believe me, he worth every bit of it and I have payed more in the past but I can't believe he is going to charge people $55 to get in to the show in Cabo. I believe in charging for it but I think $55 is a little bit crazy. He needs to remember if it was not for us loyal dedicated fans, there were be no fame for them! Especially in today's economy. People are lucky enough just to be able to afford the airfare/hotel to go to Cabo. Thumbs down Sammy!

RIRedrocker's picture

All I can say is thank goodness I booked this trip with one thought in mind...being with my Redhead friends in Cabo! I've seen Sammy a million times, and I'll see him a million more. We'll do what we can to see a show or two, but at least we'll be hanging together! And since I don't know when OR if I'll make it back to Cabo, I plan on making the most of it! Can't wait to see you guys!!

jacquel095's picture

Charging for the shows, that works for me. But over charging to people who have followed him for years, all over the world, that is a different story. Free tickets should be $10.13 per ticket, and dinner show $55.00 per person. Fans are happy, he makes some money.. win win

exsell2112's picture

I am fine with the ticket prices. If one can afford to fly down to Cabo and stay at a resort, then one can spring for the $55 per ticket so as to not have to stand in line at 4am. Additionally, only those that are going to cabo can buy the tickets because one has to pick them up at the cantina the day of the show. Having said that, it does limit the "free" tickets as there will only be 450 free tickets and I would like to go more than one night. I will only go once @ $55/ticket.

BCSLoco's picture

Gone are any references to the amount of tickets alloted for the online sale and the dinner shows. No mention about a line for "free" tickets. We're paying a minimum of $55 this year folks.

darleneh092's picture

I'm with you south33. I also thought it was for us redheads.
They could arrange for us to give our member number to verify
and then we would be able to purchase tix. I thought there were some advantages to being a true redhead member!
We can only wait until Monday to see how the process is going to work...

Harleymomma08's picture

With all of the different posts (negative and positive) about the Birthday Bash tickets...just remember Sammy will be ready for retirement in 2 yrs...Maybe after he starts drawing social security the tickets will be free again??? I am lucky that my hubby is ok with me going back to Cabo this October with the girls. It may be my last trip??? I just hope I get to see him at least once while I am there...we will see??? We will continue going to Tahoe for Cinco de Mayo and New Orleans!!

danrin's picture

Come on people, your paying for a flight to Cabo, accomadations, ect. ect. 55 dollars a ticket is not overpriced.

Iowa-Doug's picture

still think Sam should write a song bout how "ALL THE MONEY IN THE WORLD WOULDNT CHANGE MY LIFE, CAUSE MY LIFE'S NOT FOR SALE"...

flashnjen2's picture

Doug, I agree...you said it best.
The B-day Bash used to be fun, those days are gone.

no55brando's picture

sam can't sing I love this bar ever again.........

south33's picture

lisab, mine said $90 also. I have had no problem paying the $65 the last 3 years for dinner tickets, knowing the money went to the ADLN and everyone else got in free. We did our line time for those tickets as well. Paying, isn't even so much the problem. It's the fact we were lead to believe this sale was for us Redheads only, not the general public!!! Posted on Facebook is NOT Redheads only!!!

jamieannbain's picture

You guys seriously need to make it more clear how the tickets are working. We get that tickets are $55 and Dinner tickets are $90 but is there still going to be the free wristbands?

lisab068's picture

My last email stated $90/each for dinner tickets.

ktanton's picture

I put it on my calander and hope I get logged in, between my meetings(hell maybe I'll just cancel my Monday morning meetings) so I can get tickets for at least one or 2 shows while I am in Cabo..So glad I at least get a chance to get advanced tickets..I have faith I will score....Cabo here I come...

lisab068's picture

I'm not sure why people are wondering why things are screwed up. I figured this would happen. You can now skip the misery of how the line has gotten, and you will be lucky if you are able to get an over priced ticket.
Dinner tickets $90 bucks each. Wow! Oh well, I'm sure there will be people that will pay it.
Was there a charity mentioned that the $$ will be going to? That would be a great place for the money since normally the wristbands are free.

Slightly Disappointed

south33's picture

I guess the thing that bothers me is that this sale Monday was supposed to be for us Redheads. I just saw it posted on Facebook. Half a BILLION users worldwide. So much for Redheads only. Anybody with money can get the tix now. Good luck to anybody who can get them.

RIRedrocker's picture

Ok well that clears some stuff up...BUT the original email stated they would sell 500 tix per show with 150 being held for dinner tix...that's only 650, the cantina holds 1000. I'm a little confused.

Iowa-Doug's picture

Read this page AGAIN Patricia... It clearly says dinner show tickets are $90 PER PERSON... AND they will ONLY be availabe in Cabo...The regular tickets are $55...AND they will be sold Monday...

Iowa-Doug's picture

The newest email is kinda confusing... So now there will not be tickets(other than dinner show tickets) available after Monday??/ What happened to the street peeps chance from the FIRST email.

patriciae012's picture

If you read the article again, it says DINNER tickets. $55 is a great price for dinner, dessert and a waborita then to get in the club before the rest of the people is a great deal. Tickets are always free if you do not do the DINNER.

Iowa-Doug's picture

Eric, i told you its deep pockets time and MONEY TALKS...
I don't have all the MONEY in the world, but if I did I don't think it would change my life cuz my life's not FOR SALE... Hey that might be a good idea for a song from Sammy... Hmmm, I wonder...
Now all you folks who did'nt wanna sleep on the streets (especially you folks who arn't even goin to Cabo) got your way...NO TICKETS AFTER MONDAY'S online sale...

Harleymomma08's picture

Well at least they gave us the price for the Dinner tickets! All I can do is hope that I get thru on Monday and get tickets for a show or two!!

Good luck everyone!

RedVoodoo's picture

Good decision on the tickets... but to go from free to $55 per ticket is a bit questionable... just because you've decided to issue tickets DOESN'T mean you had to price people out... I'm afraid you have done this. That said, I've always said I wouldn't go if it weren't a ticketed event, so I guess beggars can't be choosers. See you in Cabo - show tickets or not...
