This movie is nothing less than fantastic!! Even the stripped down version! I got goosebumps a number of times while watching. The crowd was on the smaller side, but there were a number of us local Redheads there...it's quality not quantity after all. This screening was shown in blu-ray and looked fantastic...although they did have some technical difficulties at the end of the movie near the credits...movie kept freezing up. The sound was a little low, but it was quiet so you could hear it pretty well. Being able to see this in a more quite setting was awesome...saw the full version in Cabo, but it was very hard to hear there. Saw soooo many Redheads in the film it was incredible. So much old footage no one 's ever seen! This documentary is a MUST SEE for ANY Redhead. I was very proud to have been there to represent this film!! If only we can convince Sammy to release this movie. It's WAY too good to not release it...a keeper for sure! KUDOS big time to Paul Ware...awesome, awesome job!!!!!!!
It would be cool if he made an appearance seeing as he is in NJ the day before. I know the head of the Film Commission and he said as of right now, there is no plans for Sammy to attend, but I am keeping my fingers crossed
I haven't heard it mentioned anywhere, so I just posted this event to the three biggest local rock radio stations in the area! Should be an awesome turnout!! \m/ - _ - \m/
How cool is it that this film is going to be screened HERE in RI!!! ^5 to all the Redheads, friends & family who sent in emails to be sure this film would be accepted!
I know that normally if Sammy was going to be there it would be listed under 'notes' here on the event page....BUT, think about it Sammy...you'll be playing in Atlantic City NJ on the 10th, how very cool would it be if you made a surprise appearance in the Biggest Little State in the Union the following night?! You haven't been to RI since 1997, so it's quite a treat to have this here and nothing would be better than if you could be here with it...bring Paul along and have a little Q & A or something after the film. Your New England Redheads would LOVE it!!! Pretty pleeeeeeeeeeeease!!!
Then you can head off to Detroit the following day and rock out with Kid!!!
Also, it says this is in Newport RI, but the screening is actually in Providence RI @ the University of Rhode Island, Feinstein Providence Campus. One of the college campuses my daughter goes to :)
So, is Sammy going to be there to introduce the film? Do we know yet if there will be a Q&A session, book signing or any kind of meet & greet afterwards for the fans?? Welcome back to New England, Sammy!!
