I was at this show back in May of 1997. The Marching to Mars album just was released and Sammy was doing a special acoustic show and part of the proceeds went to a Veteran's association. I recall the tickets were really cheap at $11.00. This was at Mama Kin's, a small club/bar that was owned by Aerosmith. The stage was very small. so it was just Sammy, Vic and Jesse. Sammy said from the stage that he gave Bro and Mona the night off because they all couldn't fit on the stage. Sammy told the crowd about his new female bassist and described her as being not much to look at, but a kick ass bass player. I was kind of surprised about Sammy's comments, but it is essentially true. The show was short at only an hour, but still good. The place was packed to the guilds that night. I'm not a big fan of acoustic shows and would much rather see a full plugged in set. I do remember drinking quite a few beers that night and feeling huungover the next day.
