It was early 1987...I had just come back from a field trip and we had a dance at school that night. I was walking home from the bus stop and as I walked up to my house (my brother had put his stereo speakers in his bedroom windows so he and his buddies could listen to some tunes while throwing a ball around), I heard the DJ on the radio say "OK, here's the new Van Halen song...it ain't Dave, but I'll let you judge for yourself." And it started with the thumping bass line from "Why Can't This Be Love." My brother and his friends started to boo and say it sucked. I kept listening...

Does anyone know how I can buy a print of the inside cover of the Livin it up Album, Sammy is walking away from his beach chair and guitar, back to us, walking toward the water. They had a nice framed one at the Cabo store when I was there, and I didn't inquire. Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks Redheads!

Sammy's book was great. Boy what a tough bastard. Never giving up when all others would have called it a day. Eddie Van Halen= what a nut job he turned out to be. I'll have to go to Sammy's beach bar and grill when I'm in Maui this coming August. Been there 6 six times and didn't know it existed till now. I've followed him since high school (27 years ago) and didn't know the business ventures he has undertaken. My hat off to you Sammy. Keep Rockin' Man.

Had a blast at the book signing in St. Louis!! It was awesome to meet Sammy in person!!!You can tell he is the real deal!! Thanks to my girfriend for waiting in line with me! Everyone was super friendly, from the bookstore employees to the people in line!! Very well organized event!!
